You can’t create anything new, if you are simply trying to remodel your past!

“If you continue to carry the bricks from your past, you will end up building the same house.” ~ Unknown

How can you create something new “in” your life, if you’re still dragging yesterday’s image, hurt, insecurities, failures, etc. with you into the New Year? You can’t! This is why the Apostle Paul encourages us with God’s Word in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Jesus Christ is the ONLY one who can make us a new creation! I made a living setting goals, mapping out plans to achieve them, and teaching others how to do the same. There is nothing wrong with that! However, more times than I would like to count, I created the same house, because I kept dragging my bricks from my past with me.

The enemy is the ONLY ONE who reminds you of your past to help you decide your future. When the enemy whispers in your ear, remind him of God’s promise, and instruction to you: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17) and Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old (Isaiah 43:18)
